Terminals Pty Ltd

Terminals Pty. Ltd. recently constructed an 85ML fuel terminal at Outer harbour Adelaide. The multidisciplinary site consisted of civil, building, mechanical, electrical and steel tank construction trades. The project lasted 18 months and site numbers varied between 50 and 100 workers during that time. Adelaide OHS assisted with all aspects of the project safety, from the planning phase which involved the compilation of the project safety system to construction and commissioning where Adelaide OHS fulfilled the full time role of site safety coordinator.  quotation-markBA1

Mulhern Waste

This testimonial reflects my personal and professional experiences with Adelaide OHS&W Consultants during 2012 and 2013 in rebuilding our company’s OH&S policies and system. Following a devastating fire on our storage  and processing  facility in early 2012, Mulhern Waste Oil came under severe scrutiny to demonstrate that we had a compliant OH&S system in place at the time of the fire and more importantly that we had a compliant  operational  system for our Largs facility. We were audited by SafeWork SA officers and a large number of non-compliant   issues were raised that we as a company were not in a position to address in the way that they needed to be addressed and within the timeframes set by SafeWork SA. It was decided that a consultant was needed to get us through this as we were unable to accomplish the targets in the timeframe required by SafeWork SA. We were under severe pressure for non-conformance with regulations regarding OH&S and I checked on-line for OHS consultancies and decided to use a local.
Wayne Wilson and his team took us on board and dealt with all the SafeWork SA issues and timeframes completely removing us from the front line of dealing with the authorities allowing us to get on with the running of our business.  They negotiated with SafeWork SA for new timeframes and targets and began preparing a comprehensive document that not only addressed all of the outstanding issues, but gave us templates and forms for the whole range of legislative procedures which is in the format that is the building block of a certified system. It gave us real forms and documents that we use daily to not only comply with legislation but to improve our business. The cost effectiveness of the work undertaken combined with the freeing of our resources from dealing with the complex and ever changing OHS requirements, meant that it was money extremely well spent. Wayne and his team took a personal interest in what we do and how we do it so that they could tailor a program that fitted with what we do currently and going forward and they are now fully conversant with our business and any time we have questions or issues Wayne is there to help promptly but most importantly, professionally and in accordance with the latest legal requirements.

Prior to engaging Wayne at Adelaide OHS&W Consultants, I was struggling to introduce a compliant OHS & W system for my business. The enormous cost to the company in having a dedicated employee trained up to navigate through all the government legislation required to implement a working compliant policy wasn’t working for me.
When Wayne approached me I didn’t hesitate to enlist his company’s expertise in developing an OHS & W System for my business. This proved to be more cost effective and gave me peace of mind that my company complied with what is required by law when it comes to Work Health and Safety.
In January 2013 Wayne updated the OHS & W System to comply with the latest Government requirements and assisted in introducing and implementing the new policies to my employees and allowing them to take ownership of Work Health and Safety in the work place.

Every employee is now involved in regular Tool Box meetings and discussions on Work Place Safety which has made for a Safer work environment and improved quality of workmanship. Large Transport companies are now asking for proof of WHS compliant policy before out sourcing repairs to ensure we meet the Quality and Safety standards they require.
The WHS policy proved invaluable in protecting my company from a disgruntled employee who tried to claim they were unfairly dismissed. Because of the WHS Management system and having the pacific policies implemented and used to deal with the employees allegations, it was proof we had no case to answer. Priceless, Case dismissed.
